Working alongside Leonardo Helicopters and Boeing, ISTEC Services Ltd are supplying the external MMG gunmounts for the new MH-139A Greywolf helicopter, providing the United States Air Force (USAF) a force multiplier capability to replace the aging UH-1N Huey.
Aerospace manufacture requires a ‘cradle to grave’ traceability process, ensuring all raw material sourced is to an aerospace release, with full traceability back to the mill, along with composition tests to ensure that the material alloying elements are within the required specification minimums.
The gunmounts are Type Certified and meet the rigorous manufacturing standards required to be classed as airworthy.
